Overview of Role: The Security Analyst (Journeyman) is responsible for performing cybersecurity compliance assessments, vulnerability management, and security monitoring for Department of Defense network systems across multiple installations. Core duties include conducting STIG compliance audits, supporting remediation activities, executing vulnerability scans, preparing scan reports, and supporting security testing in integrated test environments. The role also involves monitoring security events via enterprise platforms, assisting with NAC and MFA implementation, reviewing security change requests, escalating security incidents, supporting ongoing authorization compliance monitoring, and providing on-call security response at assigned installations. Roles and Responsibilities: Performs cybersecurity compliance assessment, vulnerability management, and security monitoring for DoD network systems across multiple installations. Conducts STIG compliance audits and supports remediation activities; executes ACAS vulnerability scans and prepares scan reports; supports pre-implementation security testing in an integrated test environment; monitors network security events via enterprise NMS platforms; assists with NAC and MFA implementation; reviews security change requests for compliance; escalates NIPRNet/SIPRNet security incidents; supports ongoing ATO compliance monitoring and reporting; and provides on-call security response support at assigned installations.
