About The Position

This entry-level role serves as the first line of defense in monitoring the organization’s network, systems, and security tools. The Security Analyst I reviews SOC dashboards, triages incoming alerts, analyzes logs, reviews vulnerabilities, and documents incidents. The role is intended for a cybersecurity professional seeking to build a foundation in threat detection, incident response, and SOC operations.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience as an IT Professional.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic understanding of networking protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, and HTTP/S; Windows and Linux operating systems; and common security concepts.
• Ability to document technical findings clearly and work effectively in a team environment.

Nice To Haves

• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience or certifications.
• CISSP or equivalent certification.

Responsibilities

• Regularly monitor Security Operations Center tools, such as SIEM, DLP tools, and web application firewalls, to check operational health, log ingestion, and continuous visibility.
• Monitor real-time security dashboards and system logs, initially triage alerts, and escalate to senior BISM staff as needed to distinguish false positives from legitimate security events.
• Review routine vulnerability scan results and assist in tracking known weaknesses across assets.
• Document security events, investigations, and remediation steps in the ticketing system, and ensure tickets are resolved and closed according to standard operating procedures.
• Escalate complex, high-priority, or unverified threats to senior SOC staff or incident response leads, with clear briefing notes.
• Collaborate with IT, system administration, and other cross-functional teams during investigations and incident resolution as needed.
