About The Position

As a Security Officer Access Control in Spokane, WA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • The ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by following site-specific access control procedures and other security-related policies at a manufacturing and industrial location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, manage visitor processing, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or emergency personnel when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around access points, production-adjacent areas, and the perimeter, with attention to varying conditions across the location.
  • Prepare clear, accurate reports of access activity, incidents, and unusual observations, and support daily operations through consistent documentation and communication.
