About The Position

The Securities Underwriting Analyst role is part of the Zions Bancorporation’s Capital Markets Analyst Program. This is a full-time, 2-year program designed to provide foundational knowledge, skills, and experiences in capital markets. Analysts will actively participate within their assigned team, working alongside experienced professionals to meet client needs. The Securities Underwriting Team specifically focuses on public and private debt and equity issuances, providing guidance and execution across various markets including investment-grade, high-yield, equity, and securitized products. This role supports senior team members throughout the transaction lifecycle, collaborating across diverse industries such as Consumer Products, Financial Institutions, Energy, Manufacturing, and Home Builders to assist clients with capital raising and strategic goals.

Requirements

Completed BA/BS degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting, and/or related majors, with a scheduled graduation prior to the annual June 7th start date.
Overall GPA of 3.5 or above.
Strong interest in finance and capital markets.
High degree of academic and extracurricular achievement.
Proven analytical ability, critical thinking, and attention to detail.
Solid leadership and interpersonal skills.
Superior written and oral communication skills.
Ability to work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Comfortable working with peers at all levels, ranging from fellow analysts through Managing Directors.
Willingness to commit substantial time and energy to the program.
Not eligible for employment visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

Support senior members through the entire transaction lifecycle.
Partner across a broad array of industries including Consumer Products, Financial Institutions, Energy, Manufacturing, and Home Builders.
Assist clients in efficiently navigating capital-raising and achieving their strategic goals.
Navigate both public and private debt and equity issuances.
Deliver expert, issuer-first guidance and seamless execution across investment-grade, high-yield, equity, and securitized markets.
Specialize in solutions ranging from bonds and ABS to IPOs, follow-ons, and private placements.
