About The Position

AECOM is seeking an experienced Secure Facilities Technical Design professional to support its national Mission Critical and Secure Facilities practice. The role provides technical leadership for designing and executing secure and classified facilities for U.S. federal, Department of War, and Intelligence Community clients. It focuses on implementing ICD 705, SCIF, SAPF, Open Storage Secret (OSS), TEMPEST, and related security requirements as coordinated, constructible architectural and engineering solutions, including construction documents, specifications, and technical details. The position serves as a technical liaison between government security stakeholders and multidisciplinary project teams. It requires understanding how physical and technical security requirements integrate with architecture, engineering, telecommunications, audiovisual, electronic security, and other building systems. Projects may be located in CONUS and OCONUS. The role also supports secure facility standards and best practices, proposal development, and strategic growth of the practice. The position is remote, with periodic travel to support projects. AECOM requires newly hired employees to attend in-person Day 1 onboarding at an AECOM office. The position requires U.S. citizenship and the ability to pass drug and background checks for work on federal grounds, military installations, and school grounds.

  • Demonstrated experience interpreting and implementing ICD 705, SCIF, SAPF, OSS, TEMPEST, and related secure facility requirements.
  • Ability to translate security requirements into construction drawings, specifications, technical details, and multidisciplinary design solutions.
  • Knowledge of secure perimeter construction and RF/TEMPEST mitigation techniques, including penetrations, shielding, non-conductive breaks, waveguide-below-cutoff protection, and power/signal filtering.
  • Strong understanding of multidisciplinary building systems and their interaction with physical and technical security requirements.
  • Experience with secure facility assessments, technical design reviews, and construction-phase support.
