About The Position

The Maine Community College System (MCCS) is seeking a full-time Sector Partnership Coordinator to support grant initiatives managed by the Harold Alfond Center for the Advancement of Maine's Workforce. This role involves coordinating the implementation of sector partnership initiatives and grant-funded training programs, acting as a liaison between employers and MCCS workforce solutions, and assisting with sector partnership development. The position requires the ability to work independently, with flexibility for some nights and weekends. This is a grant-funded position through June 30, 2030, classified as a level 4 in the MEA Administrators Bargaining Unit. The salary is expected to be around $67,000, dependent on experience and qualifications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field.
  • Four to seven years of relevant work experience.
  • Evidence of membership in professional associations or active community engagement.
  • Customer service or community outreach experience.
  • Experience working in a team environment that requires a high level of communication with various stakeholders.
  • Project coordination experience.
  • Administrative experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience of an administrative nature in business, economic development, workforce development, or industry training preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinating the implementation and execution of sector partnership initiatives and grant-funded training programs.
  • Serving as a community liaison by connecting employers, trade associations, and other stakeholders to sector partnership opportunities, MCCS college workforce training solutions, other training vendors and relevant resources.
  • Assisting the Director of Sector Partnerships with sector partnership development, facilitation and coordination.
