Requirements

  • Ability to lift, push, and carry up to 35 lbs.
  • Basic troubleshooting skills, especially with extrusion equipment, are beneficial.
  • Mechanical aptitude and interest in hands-on work.
  • Experience working collaboratively in team-oriented environments is valued.

Nice To Haves

  • High School diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
  • Forklift operation experience preferred; training may be provided.
  • Prior experience with extrusion equipment is a plus.
  • Familiarity with extrusion or converting equipment and processes is helpful.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing setting is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Setting up, operating, and adjusting equipment to produce high-quality products efficiently and safely.
  • Leading daily production activities on assigned lines.
  • Supporting and training Machine Line Operators (MLOs).
  • Troubleshooting equipment to minimize downtime.
  • Must be willing to work twelve-hour shifts (nights) and overtime when needed.
  • Must be willing to train on days.
  • Must be able to efficiently navigate JDE (Data Management System) in order to read/view production schedules, blends and BOM’s to ensure lines are running efficiently in all aspects.
  • Must be able to safely and efficiently start and stop extruders, upstream and all downstream equipment.
  • Must be able to safely and efficiently start lines up and put them into production with minimal scrap.
  • Must be able to safely and efficiently maintain and run up to 3 lines. Including process control documents, performing and documenting all required quality checks.
  • Must be able to safely and efficiently troubleshoot lines and all accessory equipment to efficiently maintain production goals.
  • Must be able to safely and efficiently work with little supervision in a fast pace environment to maintain production goals.
  • Must be able to efficiently communicate with leadership at all times.
  • Must be willing to relieve fellow team members as needed and instructed.
  • Must be willing to safely complete any other task as assigned by leadership be you’ve been trained to do.
