About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Section Coordinator to support laboratory operations within a hospital-based setting. This role combines technical expertise with leadership responsibilities, including workflow coordination, staff support, and quality compliance. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring efficient laboratory operations, maintaining regulatory standards, and supporting team development in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Requirements

Associate Degree in Science (required)
State of Florida Technologist Supervisory License (required)
Minimum 3 years of experience as a Medical Technologist

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology or related field (preferred)
ASCP or equivalent certification (preferred)
Prior experience in a hospital laboratory setting preferred
Strong leadership and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to manage workflow in a fast-paced environment
Solid understanding of laboratory quality standards and regulatory compliance
Experience mentoring, training, and supporting laboratory staff

Responsibilities

Perform laboratory testing, including STAT procedures and sample analysis
Conduct and document quality control (QC) procedures
Coordinate daily workflow and prioritize testing based on patient needs
Support laboratory leadership with staff development and training initiatives
Assist in competency assessments and onboarding of laboratory personnel
Provide operational updates and feedback to leadership
Promote teamwork and effective communication among staff
Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, including CAP and internal policies
