The Secretary ensures accurate and complete information is received from patients to facilitate coordination and communication among physicians, unit staff, and ancillary departments. This role involves scheduling daily tests and procedures, maintaining comprehensive and up-to-date records of all patient tests and procedures, and managing patient sign-ins and outs of the unit. The Secretary also provides receptionist functions for the unit, alerts unit management to issues regarding policies, procedures, or practices, and performs all clerical duties necessary to support the Patient Care Unit.
