This role provides support to staff providing direct care functions and works in concert with the administrative support team. It is responsible for appointment scheduling and answering the main telephone line in a busy clinic to assist physicians, therapists, and extensive contact with clients and staff to coordinate appointments, supervision, and meetings with multiple staff members. The role also assists patients with questions and requests, collects client self-pay fees, co-pays, and rent payments, and assists new clients with questions regarding available services. The Secretary/Receptionist maintains documentation and other methods of communication to maintain quality services, processes paperwork for clinic staff review, and ensures paperwork is copied, scanned, mailed, and filed as appropriate after review. Additionally, the role prepares miscellaneous correspondence, maintains contact lists, prepares records for forwarding to other providers, assists with tracking insurance authorization and preparation of forms, and verifies insurance for clients presenting for appointments.
