About The Position

Biomerics is hiring a Secondary Processor to work in a supportive team environment. The role involves using small hand tools to address cosmetic issues on complex parts during the manufacturing process, including deburring, sanding, and polishing, as well as operating an automated tumbling machine. The position is based in Monroe, Connecticut, and is full-time on the second shift, Monday through Friday, from 2:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.

Requirements

Basic math skills.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, blueprints, and procedure manuals.
Understanding of processes used to remove scratches, excess weld material, and burrs.
High degree of manual dexterity while using a microscope.
Ability to use a microscope for up to eight hours per day.
Ability to sit for up to eight hours per day.
Strong written and oral communication skills to support business needs in an English-speaking environment.
Ability to communicate effectively with employees across the organization.
Ability to understand how one's actions may affect other parts of the business.

Responsibilities

Use small hand tools to clean up cosmetic issues on parts.
Read and comprehend information on shop job travelers.
Use basic precision measurement tools.
Compare estimated times on job travelers with actual times and immediately notify the supervisor if the estimated time cannot be met.
Follow standardized work procedures and specific instructions from the supervisor.
Perform other duties as assigned.
