About The Position

Keystone Powdered Metal Company, a Sumitomo Electric Group company, is seeking an experienced full-time Third shift Operator for our Cherryville, NC, location. This person will report to the Production Supervisor. The role involves performing operations necessary to manufacture powdered metal parts, operating equipment safely and efficiently within a team environment to maximize utilization, quality, and team harmony. Responsibilities include accurately observing, measuring, and recording product/process data to ensure quality, providing input for continuous process improvement, and maintaining accurate documentation of production operations. The operator will also be responsible for receiving and moving material to maintain production flow, visually inspecting and sorting powdered metal parts for defects using necessary tools, and maintaining a clean, organized work area. Effective communication of job-related information is essential.

Requirements

Able to read and understand procedures, process sheets, etc.
Able to do basic math calculations such as adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing.
Must be able to write sufficiently to document the process.
Able to write legible sentences.
Use and understand appropriate computer functions.
Knowledgeable of basic P / M processes and equipment.
Demonstrate satisfactory relational skills with regard to communications, cooperative associations, and participation in continuous improvement.
Thorough knowledge of all applicable process documentation.
Exhibit positive team behaviors.
