About The Position

Velosity Forest Lake is searching for a Secondary Operations Operator on 3rd shift to support our manufacturing facility in Forest Lake, MN. This is an on-site position supporting our Forest Lake location. The typical pay range for this role is $19.00-$22.00 per hour, and this role is also eligible for a 5% quarterly bonus target. This pay range reflects the base hourly rate for positions within this job grade, based on our market-based pay structures. Actual compensation will depend on factors such as skills, relevant experience, education, internal equity, business needs, and local market conditions. Offers are rarely made at the minimum or maximum of the range. Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED-General Studies.
  • Valid identification and the ability to work legally in the United States.
  • Preferred 1 year experience in manufacturing facility with an emphasis in assembly.
  • The ability to run one or more jobs at the same time while completing them on time; professional communication between coworkers and other departments
  • Basic understanding of scales and other required measuring equipment; Knowledge of a variety of secondary operations equipment; Understanding of blueprint reading
  • To be able to perform daily tasks safely; To work independently with limited supervision
  • Must have correctable eyesight and good depth perception.
  • Must be able to sit for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to walk, sit and occasionally climb and balance.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds and move objects in a safe manner using proper equipment.
  • Must have dexterity with hands.
  • Must be able to prioritize multiple tasks and complete them within a timely manner (results oriented); Ability to make decisions with limited information.
  • Due to ITAR regulations, this role is only open to U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents (green card holders) or foreign nationals granted refugee or asylee status. Individuals with temporary visas (e.g. E, F-1, H-1, H-2, L, B, J, TN or OPT) are not eligible for hire in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Perform basic sorting procedures and assembly work using secondary operations equipment including pad printers and sonic welders
  • Inspect and document parts per the Inspection instructions
  • Performs trimming work requiring knives or cutters; assists in assembly and hand painting
  • Read and understand all information contained in Manufacturing Instruction Manual including but not limited to inspection instructions, bill of materials, certificate of workmanship and work instructions
  • Maintains a clean and orderly work environment
  • Works cooperatively with all employees
  • Other tasks as assigned by supervisor
