About The Position

This position requires a RI Dept. Of Education Teacher Certification for Secondary Math. The educator shall prepare and implement well-organized curricula in which students are engaged in relevant, thoughtful, and challenging work. They will differentiate instruction based on student needs, establish a learning environment of high expectations, and employ techniques that encourage critical thinking and problem-solving. The role involves using various current technologies to enhance instruction and advance students’ technological literacy, utilizing diverse assessment methods, and using data to plan instruction. The educator will support students’ social, emotional, and academic growth, define, communicate, and uphold acceptable standards of student behavior, and develop open communication, mutual respect, and rapport with students. Effective communication with colleagues, parents, and other school community members is essential. The position also requires keeping accurate records, completing tasks in a timely manner, demonstrating appropriate depth of knowledge in subject matter, and maintaining student confidentiality. The educator will model the behavior and expectations of the school community and perform other duties as assigned by the building principal.
