About The Position

The Secondary Mathematics Teacher is responsible for leading engaging, high-quality instruction, as well as providing students with appropriate learning activities and experiences designed to develop academic excellence, virtue, and leadership. The role involves teaching mathematics courses for grades 7-12, covering subjects such as Algebra, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, Calculus, and other appropriate topics based on the curriculum. The teacher will design and implement lesson plans aligned with school standards, assess student progress, and create a positive, inclusive classroom environment. Collaboration with faculty, communication with parents, and participation in school activities are also key aspects of the position.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (Mathematics field preferred)
  • Minimum of 24 semester hours in math-related coursework or Praxis Test in content area
  • Strong understanding of mathematics concepts
  • Willingness to attend AP training

  • Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and school staff regarding student progress and behavior.
  • Participate in faculty meetings, professional development workshops, and other school-related activities.
  • Maintain accurate records of student performance, attendance, and behavior.
  • Support extracurricular math-related activities, such as math clubs or competitions, if applicable.
