The Secondary Math Coach will work collaboratively with District Instructional Strategists, building administrators, classroom teachers, and other instructional staff to support planning, alignment of assessment, curriculum development/alignment, instructional practices, and intervention to improve student achievement outcomes in mathematics for feeder patterns. This role promotes high standards and expectations for all stakeholders, analyzes data to determine instructional needs, and improves classroom instruction through onsite technical assistance, modeling best practices, and coaching teachers. The coach will follow the district coaching model, attend feeder-area meetings, and demonstrate knowledge of curriculum development, program evaluation, effective instructional strategies, classroom management, and assessment. They will maintain current knowledge of effective practices, integrate technology, and provide job-embedded professional development. Additionally, the coach will assist with curriculum writing, disaggregate test data, and implement instructional components of the INDISTAR Process and the District School Improvement Plan, as well as the PCSSD desegregation plan. Adherence to Board of Education policies, District and school guidelines, and regulations is required. Additional duties may be assigned.
