About The Position

Central Christian School partners with families to provide a Christ-centered education that challenges students academically while developing strong character and faith. As our secondary program continues to grow, we are seeking a qualified and mission-aligned Secondary Math & Science Teacher to join our team for the 2026–2027 school year. The Secondary Math & Science Teacher is responsible for providing Christ-centered instruction that supports the academic, spiritual, and personal growth of students in grades 9–12. This role includes delivering subject-specific instruction in mathematics and science courses aligned with CCS curriculum and standards. Specific course assignments will be determined based on experience and program needs. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong content knowledge, effective classroom management, and a commitment to integrating faith into academic instruction.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in mathematics, science, or related field
  • Strong subject-area knowledge and instructional skills
  • Ability to actively support the mission and values of Central Christian School
  • Profess Jesus Christ as personal Savior
  • Support and uphold CCS’s Statement of Faith, mission, and core values
  • Integrate biblical worldview and Christian character into teaching and student interactions
  • Model integrity, professionalism, and servant leadership in all school relationships

  • Prior middle or high school teaching experience

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver math and science instruction aligned with CCS curriculum and grade-level standards
  • Differentiate instruction to support diverse learning needs
  • Utilize assessment data to guide instruction and monitor student growth
  • Maintain high academic expectations while supporting student development
  • Establish a safe, structured, and respectful classroom environment
  • Support student behavior in alignment with school policies
  • Communicate student progress and concerns appropriately
  • Assess student learning using formative and summative measures
  • Maintain accurate grade records and documentation
  • Provide timely feedback to students and families
  • Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and support staff
  • Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, chapel, and required school events
  • Fulfill supervisory and advisory duties as assigned
  • Remain available to students outside scheduled class periods as appropriate within secondary program expectations
