About The Position

Bailey Education Group, LLC is seeking exceptional Secondary ELA Instructional Coaches to support Nebraska schools through high-quality professional development and side-by-side coaching. This role is a 1099 Consultant position with a competitive daily rate, offering flexibility and the opportunity to make a significant impact on student literacy. Bailey Education Group is committed to partnering with all schools and districts to improve the lives of all children through customized professional development and side-by-side teacher coaching, performed by certified instructional coaches with a deep understanding of state standards for Reading, Math, Science, and Social Studies. We also offer professional development and training for both in school and district leadership, special needs services, early childhood, technology, multi-tiered systems of support and many other areas. Requirements

  • Deep knowledge of Secondary ELA standards
  • Strong background in early literacy, structured literacy, or science of reading
  • Experience coaching teachers or leading literacy initiatives
  • Ability to analyze and use student data effectively
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and presentation skills

  • Experience as a reading specialist, literacy coach, curriculum coordinator, instructional leader, or veteran ELA teacher is highly valued.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting the implementation of Secondary ELA standards and curriculum
  • Facilitating high-quality professional development sessions
  • Conducting classroom observations and providing actionable, constructive feedback
  • Modeling lessons or co-teaching to demonstrate best practices
  • Coaching teachers at various experience levels in foundational literacy, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, comprehension, and writing
  • Analyzing student data to identify instructional needs and support interventions
  • Collaborating with school teams to improve instructional planning and outcomes
  • Building relationships that promote trust, growth, and sustained improvement
