About The Position

For the 2026-2027 School Year: The Dedham Public Schools, home to America’s first tax supported, free public school, has an opening for an elementary paraprofessionals at the high school level. This position is eligible for health insurance and paid time off (sick and personal days). Educational Support Professionals work a minimum of 30 hours per week and are eligible for benefits. Requirements

High school diploma
Demonstrated effective organizational and interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively with administrators, colleagues, parents/guardians, and others in the delivery of effective services
ability to accept and implement directions
ability to be flexible with job assignments as needed
Consistent and dependable attendance is essential

Responsibilities

Work collaboratively with classroom teacher to provide individual, small group and whole class instruction for students
Supervise students in all environments
Collaborate with and participate in consultation with special education and related service providers who work with students in the classroom
Support the total school program
Exhibit proficiency, dependability and punctuality in assigned duties
Strive to improve professional competence
Display appropriate personal and professional traits that exhibit a positive role model for students
