The qualified individual must be an evangelical Christian who is committed to living a biblical lifestyle and is in full agreement with the school’s Statement of Faith. He or she should consistently demonstrate and teach a biblical worldview while exemplifying Christlike character through patience, humility, integrity, kindness, and a teachable spirit. The teacher should sense a clear calling from God to the teaching profession and be committed to partnering prayerfully with administration, faculty, students, and parents to maintain a school that is both distinctly Christian and academically excellent. As a second-grade teacher, he or she will play a crucial role in helping students strengthen foundational reading skills and successfully transition from learning to read to reading to learn in the upper elementary years. The teacher will guide students in developing the academic skills, biblical understanding, and character necessary to become mature, responsible followers of Christ who glorify God in all they do.
