Bingemans is in the business of providing Grand Experiences! We are currently hiring for a Second Cook. What will you be doing? As a Second Cook, you will support daily food production in a high-volume commissary kitchen, preparing items for a wide range of events including banquets, weddings, and off-site catering. This role is ideal for a developing cook who is eager to build skills, gain experience across multiple stations, and grow within a professional kitchen.

Requirements

  • Culinary diploma or certificate from a recognized institution
  • 1–2 years of kitchen experience (catering or high-volume preferred)
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Willingness to learn, take direction, and develop new skills
  • Passion for food and attention to detail
  • Food Handler Certification
  • Reliable transportation
  • Flexibility to work days, evenings, weekends, holidays, and split shifts

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and produce food for on-site and off-site events
  • Assist with daily production planning and execution
  • Work across both hot and cold kitchen stations
  • Support transportation and setup of food for service
  • Maintain organized mise en place and proper food storage
  • Assist with inventory, receiving, and product rotation
  • Follow standardized recipes and food safety practices
  • Minimize waste and support food cost control
  • Work collaboratively with the culinary team in a fast-paced environment
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient workspace
