Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years’ kitchen experience
  • Possess a positive attitude and works well with other team members
  • Strong commitment to detail
  • Must be able to working early morning, holidays, weekends
  • High paced breakfast and brunch shifts
  • Proven organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Be able to work unsupervised
  • Self motivated
  • Must be able to work AM shifts and PM shifts
  • Must be willing to work in Kamloops, BC
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
  • Basic food preparation
  • Demonstrates the ability to follow recipes and an understanding of recipe conversion

Responsibilities

  • Work closely within a team environment to ensure the smooth running of the food and beverage operation by developing and cultivating a team environment
  • Prepares orders according to established standards and customer requests
  • Ensures cleanliness, proper handling and maintenance of kitchen equipment, utensils and work areas
  • Responsible for proper storage of food and preparation
  • Assist in Kitchen Steward duties (i.e. washing dishes) as required
  • Support and collaborate with front of house team to achieve service recoveries and service enhancements in a professional and efficient manor
  • Attend and collaborate at all department & hotel meetings
  • Performs other duties, as assigned, to meet business needs
