About The Position

WNA CPAs is seeking an experienced tax professional to join our team for the upcoming tax season in a manager-level review and client service role. Seasonal managers at WNA carry real client relationships, review complex returns, and provide technical guidance to our staff. You will be trusted with meaningful work from day one, and compensated for every hour you put in. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
  • Five or more years of public accounting experience with recent tax experience
  • Strong technical tax knowledge
  • Ability to work with a high level of accuracy, detail-oriented and organized
  • Ability to exercise discretion with confidential client and firm information
  • Strong time management and multitasking skills
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and become productive with minimal onboarding

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review individual and business tax returns
  • Ensure filings are accurate, complete, and submitted on time
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local tax requirements
  • Perform detailed reviews of the team’s work to ensure quality, thoroughness, and timely completion of assignment tasks
  • Provide technical guidance and coaching to preparers and seniors
  • Serve as a technical resource for staff and clients throughout the season
  • Effectively manage schedule and project time budgets
  • Anticipate and communicate budget issues and identify opportunities to improve assignment profitability
  • Perform all work in compliance with the firm’s policies and procedures
  • Identify workflow or process issues and recommend practical improvements
  • Perform tax research when necessary and document conclusions
  • Stay current on changes in tax laws and regulations affecting the filing season
