About The Position

This role is for a Seasonal Support position in Production, with potential job titles including Thread Putaway, Production QC, Grid Sorter, and Unloader. The Operator I position may be responsible for verifying the quality and packaging of licensed and unlicensed garments for shipping. The role requires the ability to safely and properly operate multiple pieces of specialized equipment in a controlled environment. Responsibilities may include working in Heat Seal, Embroidery, DTF, or other areas based on business needs. This list of tasks is not exhaustive, and responsibilities may change. The position involves operating shipping stations using shipping software, inspecting embroidered and heat-sealed items for accuracy and quality, checking for defects, properly tagging and labeling garments, packaging and shipping orders, and sorting incoming and outgoing products accurately into designated grid locations. Employees will also scan or verify items using handheld scanners, RF devices, or WMS systems, ensure correct items and quantities in grid locations, and may assist in printing and trimming DTF/DTT logos. Returning and organizing thread spools, inspecting threads for quality issues, and notifying supervisors of any concerns regarding HR, Safety, Security, work instructions, and quality system requirements are also part of the role. Employees are expected to behave respectfully, support workflow, and participate in improvement teams.

Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Operates shipping stations using shipping software
  • Inspect embroidered items for accuracy, consistency, and quality according to specifications
  • Check for defects such as misalignment, skipped stitches, thread breaks, color errors, puckering, or incorrect placement
  • Inspect heat-sealed patches on products to ensure proper adhesion, placement, and alignment according to specifications
  • Check for seal integrity, bubbles, wrinkles, misalignment, incomplete adhesion, or other defects
  • Properly tags and labels the garment, packages, and ships the order per customer order
  • Sort incoming and outgoing products accurately into designated grid locations based on recipes or tape numbers, pick lists, order numbers, or system instructions
  • Scan or verify items using handheld scanners, RF devices, or WMS systems to confirm correct placement
  • Ensure each grid location contains the correct items, quantities, and order information
  • May assist in printing and trimming DTF/DTT logos
  • Returns and organizes thread spools by color, type, size, or material according to production or inventory specifications
  • Inspect threads for quality issues such as knots, frays, or inconsistencies
  • Notifies VSM/VSS of any concerns regarding all HR, Safety, and Security work policies, specific work instructions, and quality system requirements.
  • Behave, speak, and treat others in a respectful manner while supporting workflow.
  • Participate in kaizen or improvement project teams
