Assist in coordinating the operation of all Special Events or Leisure Experience activities (i.e., ICE!, Best of Florida Christmas, SummerFest, etc.). This role involves checking the status of operations, lighting, AV, cleanliness, and system operation, and correcting any aesthetic deficiencies. The coordinator will follow training guidelines to support the direction of Special Events Manager and Assistant Managers, and monitor and assist with training for all Special Events employees. Responsibilities include learning and operating software systems used in events (e.g., ticketing, retail, inventory, space usage) and resolving financial, inventory, and numeric discrepancies. The position also requires adherence to company policies, reporting accidents and unsafe conditions, maintaining professional appearance and confidentiality, and protecting company assets. A key aspect of the role is guest interaction, including welcoming and acknowledging guests according to company standards, anticipating and addressing their needs, and thanking them with genuine appreciation. Effective communication, both verbal and written, is essential, as is developing and maintaining positive working relationships and supporting team goals. The role also involves complying with quality assurance standards and identifying opportunities for process improvement to enhance efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, and cost-savings. Physical requirements include standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods and moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance.
