About The Position

The Club at ArrowCreek, located in Reno, NV, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a Seasonal Server! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast‑paced hospitality-focused property organization. As part of Troon, you’ll contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and speak English may be required in order to perform the duties of the job (e.g. the associates may be required to communicate with English speaking customers or co-workers, the manuals for the equipment the associates may use are in English).
  • Meets state age requirements for handling alcoholic beverages.
  • Knowledge of POS system
  • Ability to communicate effectively with managers, guests and employees both verbally and in writing.
  • Must be able to perform basic math computations.
  • Regular and reliable attendance.

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma preferred.
  • Food Safety and Sanitation Training and Alcohol Awareness Training.
  • Knowledge of dining room operations required.

Responsibilities

  • Serves guests food and beverage items in a prompt, professional and courteous manner.
  • Assists with new partner training by positively reinforcing successful performance and giving respectful and encouraging coaching as needed.
  • Develops positive relationships with shift team by understanding and addressing individual motivation, needs and concerns.
  • Acts with integrity, honesty and knowledge that promote the culture values and mission of The Club at Arrow Creek.
  • Provides immediate attention to all guests upon seating.
  • Describes specials of the day to the guests.
  • Answers questions regarding any menu item and offers suggestions of menu items when appropriate.
  • Takes food and beverage orders from guests and delivers food to guests promptly after preparation.
  • Making menu item recommendations.
  • Communicating any food allergy or special nutrition needs to kitchen staff.
  • Follows-up with guest to ensure satisfaction.
  • Replenishes items as needed.
  • Providing attentive service to guests, i.e. refilling drinks as needed and checking their needs during meals.
  • Participates in pre-shift meetings and taste tests.
  • Maintains clean/organized workstation and side work duties.
  • Accountable for checks and cash transactions.
  • Utilizes Point of Sales System.
  • Follows established systems for taking, placing, and delivering orders.
  • Follows established standards for greeting, cocktail service, food delivery and general service techniques.
  • Practices tray service for all food and beverage service.
  • Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
  • Regular and reliable attendance.
  • Performs other duties as required.
  • Assigned including work in other areas to cover absences or relief to equalize peak work periods or otherwise balance the workload.
