About The Position

CAMP is a Family Experience Company launched in 2018, known for its shop/play hybrid experience at physical locations across the country. CAMP stores feature rotating themed experiences where families can play, explore, and create memories. The Seasonal Sales Associate helps families navigate the retail experience and creates an immersive, joyful environment for customers of all ages. This is a seasonal, part-time role at CAMP Chicago in Lincoln Park, running October 25, 2026 through January 31, 2027. The role offers approximately 5 to 25 hours per week depending on availability, with 4- to 8-hour shifts across mornings, afternoons, and evenings. Associates must be available at least one weekend day each week, with both days preferred, and on key holiday dates. Compensation is $17.50 per hour.

Requirements

Must be able to work 4- to 8-hour shifts across mornings, afternoons, and evenings.
Must be available to work at least one weekend day per week; both weekend days are preferred, along with peak holiday periods.
High energy, enthusiasm, and a guest-first attitude.
Passion for selling, customer service, and engaging with adults and children.
Patience, warmth, joy, humor, and strong improvisational skills.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must be authorized to work lawfully in the United States.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience or a background in retail, hospitality, childcare, or child development/education is preferred.

Responsibilities

Welcome guests, engage with them to discover their interests, and introduce relevant products to drive retail sales.
Work toward individual and store sales targets and KPIs through proactive selling.
Lead product demonstrations and facilitate crafting or slime bar activities.
Staff the gift-wrapping station.
Assist with store activations and special events, including birthday parties.
Process customer transactions at the register and share information about upcoming CAMP programs or news.
Assist with visual merchandising and stock replenishment.
Help keep the sales floor clean, organized, and ready for customers.
Perform other duties as assigned.
