About The Position

The Seasonal Sales Associate supports the icebreaker store during peak season, with the potential to transition to regular employment. The role focuses on personalized customer service, product knowledge, sales and productivity goals, and maintaining store presentation and operations. It offers flexible hours and product discounts from VF brands. The position is part-time or limited-time and is not eligible for all VF benefit plans; some benefits may be available.

Requirements

• Ability to genuinely and comfortably engage with a diverse group of customers.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet business needs, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
• Ability to collaborate, work as a team, and adapt in the workplace.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of or willingness to learn about products, activities, and the community relevant to the store’s customer base.
• Attention to detail.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Ability to bend, squat, reach, lift up to 50 pounds, climb a ladder, and stand for extended periods, with or without reasonable accommodations.

Responsibilities

• Create an optimistic and energetic presence through team collaboration and strong customer relationships, including introducing and encouraging enrollment in the loyalty program.
• Provide personalized customer engagement.
• Act as a resource for customers by offering relevant product, community, and activity-based knowledge and recommendations.
• Learn and share relevant activity, community, and product knowledge to create a valuable customer experience.
• Achieve sales and productivity goals using available resources to meet customer needs.
• Assist with visual directives and standards, including merchandise presentation, housekeeping, and product replenishment.
• Perform cashier duties as needed.
• Assist with Loss Prevention initiatives.
• Assist with overall visual and operational store maintenance.
• Follow stock and replenishment procedures to keep products available and presented according to visual guidelines; recover the store and keep it customer-ready each day.
