About The Position

Tecovas is hiring a Seasonal Sales Associate to support the South Congress Austin store leadership team and help create an outstanding customer experience for first-time boot buyers and Western enthusiasts. The role includes serving customers across the sales floor, building product knowledge, handling transactions, restocking, and maintaining the store. Associates are expected to provide exceptional service and demonstrate strong product knowledge during high-volume periods. This temporary position is expected to start in late September 2026 and may continue through early January 2027. Seasonal associates must be flexible and available for extended holiday hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and key holiday periods. Permanent Sales Associate opportunities may become available after the season based on individual performance and business needs.

Requirements

High school diploma.
Must be at least 18 years old.
Exceptional selling skills, customer service, and clientele skills.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Independent, proactive, results-driven work ethic.
High standards of character, honesty, and transparency.
Ability to deliver excellent customer service.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and reach overhead, bend, squat, and kneel while organizing and stocking inventory.
Ability to regularly lift up to 30 pounds.
Reliable transportation.
Availability to work weekends (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday), evenings, and holidays as needed, including specified holiday periods.

Responsibilities

Support a sales-driven environment focused on genuine customer experiences and extraordinary service standards.
Support the store team with receiving shipments and preparing products for floor placement.
Plan, track, and communicate in-transit shipment information to the leadership team.
Perform customer customizations after receiving hands-on training.
Maintain an efficient, well-organized stockroom that is accessible to employees.
Assist with or lead restocking to maintain store inventory levels.
Demonstrate loss-prevention awareness by assisting with cycle counts and transfers.
Participate in ongoing staff education and share product knowledge.
Assist with maintaining the building facilities.
Provide service across the sales floor, including greeting customers, selling, sharing product knowledge, operating the cash wrap, restocking, and general shopkeeping.
