About The Position

A Seasonal Route Assistant assists the Route Driver with the safe loading and unloading of freight and supports freight deliveries to consignees. The role also helps assemble products and assists with navigation between deliveries, including watching for potential road hazards. The assistant must follow instructions and help ensure that goods are handled safely. The job requires the ability to lift heavy objects and work effectively with the driver and team.

Requirements

Ability to lift heavy objects.
Strong work ethic.
Basic computer skills.
High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Assist with loading and unloading freight and disposing of debris.
Ensure safe handling of all goods.
Follow instructions as given.
Serve as a spotter for the driver while in the vehicle or when the driver is backing the vehicle.
Support the Route Driver with deliveries to consignees.
Help assemble products.
Assist with navigation between deliveries and watch for potential road hazards.
