Requirements

  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as a part of a team.
  • Knowledge of cleaning chemical and supplies
  • Strong time management skills
  • Constantly pushing loaded supply cart from room to room – must be able to push 75 lbs.
  • Arranging drapery and replacement linen – approximately20 –30 lbs.
  • Carrying dirty linen to laundry chute, operating vacuum
  • Constant bending and kneeling to clean bathroom, vanity and making beds. Dusting requires bending to reach low areas on furniture
  • Movement to reach all areas of responsibility to include: closet shelves, windows, ledges, pipes, under beds, behind furniture
  • Physical stamina to stand, bend, lift and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Continuously standing and/or walking to accomplish all that is required for position
  • Climbing stairs up to approximately 40 steps approximately 10% of work period (usually 8 hour work period)
  • Inside 100% of work period (usually 8 hours)
  • Adherence to safety and health regulations
  • Hearing is minimal (Guest approaches with requests and questions)
  • Vision is critical (To assess required reaction to meet standards)
  • Speech is minimal (Can utilize alternate communication)
  • Literacy is minimal (Can utilize alternate training tools)
  • Standard cleaning chemicals
  • Safety shoes required 100% of approximate 8 hour work period
  • Gloves approximately 20% of approximate 8 hour work period
  • Goggles approximately 3% of approximate 8 hour work period
  • Vacuum cleaner

Responsibilities

  • Responds to all guest requests appropriately
  • Responsible for the service of guest rooms
  • Dusting, polishing, cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms
  • Vacuuming carpets, sweeping and mopping hard floors
  • Changing bed linens and towels
  • Making beds
  • Restock supply cart neat and organized at all times in compliance with Omni standards
  • Restocking paper goods, toiletries, amenities such as coffee pods, qtips, cotton balls. Etc.
  • Checks all equipment prior to and after its use to ensure that it is in good working order
  • Removes room service tables and trays from guest rooms and corridors and place them in service landing
  • Report any lost and found articles to Security
  • Report when damages in the room and necessary repairs of maintenance issues
  • Identifies when items have been taken from the guest room (hair dryer, bathrobes, alarm clocks, etc…)
  • Reports if there are signs of rodents, pests, bedbugs, etc
  • Responsible for knowing Omni standards for guestroom preparation.
