About The Position

The Housekeeping Room Attendant maintains cleanliness of guest rooms. This role involves detailed cleaning of various room elements, bed making, dusting, vacuuming, replenishing supplies, and ensuring guest satisfaction through timely responses to requests. The position also requires attending daily meetings, handling lost and found items, reporting suspicious activity, and performing other assigned duties.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of operations on the Hospitality Industry
  • Must be able to stand in one place for extended periods of time, and to remain on feet for up to 8 hours.
  • High School Graduate and/or any combination of experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and ability to effectively fulfill the requirements of this job description.
  • Technologically sound with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Flexible schedule that may include holidays and weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Clean bathtub, toilet, sink, walls, mirrors, tiles, desks, tables, lamps, doors and floor surfaces using cloths, mops, sponges, brushes, and, or cleaning agents.
  • Strip and make beds, changing bed linens, which may require lifting bedspreads & mattresses.
  • Dust all furniture, pictures, drawers, window ledges and shelves thoroughly.
  • Push and pull the vacuum throughout the entire room, and empty trash.
  • Replenish amenities, linens, and supplies in guestrooms.
  • Sign for room keys.
  • Retrieve Room Attendant cart, push to assigned rooms, and restock.
  • Visually inspect the room for cleanliness and appearance and signify completion of the room.
  • Attend daily pre-shift meetings to discuss department announcements and operations.
  • Return all items found in the hotel to Lost and Found.
  • Respond in a timely manner to guest requests for items such as an iron, safety instructions, assistance, direction, and/or other information as requested.
  • Report all suspicious persons, activities, or hazardous conditions to the Security Department.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
