About The Position

The Cache County Road Division invites qualified and interested candidates to apply for a Seasonal Road Laborer I, II, or III position. Individuals who are self-motivated, hardworking, and responsible are encouraged to apply. This role is for summer work and involves working outdoors.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Possess a valid Utah Driver's License with no DUI, ARR, and no more than 2 moving violations in the past 24 months.

Nice To Haves

• CDL license a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operates pickups and flatbed trucks (not requiring a commercial driver's license for Laborer I & II, requiring a CDL Class B for Laborer III).
• Operates miscellaneous hand tools in accordance with all safety regulations and procedures.
• Conducts routine equipment maintenance and daily equipment inspections according to County standards.
• Perform basic road repair and maintenance tasks.
• Reports safety hazards and traffic problems.
• Performs manual labor assignments as needed such as pothole patching, crack sealing, chipping and paving operations, and other road maintenance tasks.
• Performs traffic control and flagging activities as needed (for Laborer II); follows safety rules and regulations on all work zone and flagging sites, including placing signs, barricades, traffic cones, and other warning devices.
• Does facility housekeeping and maintenance.
• Reports and maintains daily work records.
• Performs other duties as required.
