About The Position

Vala’s is a family owned and operated fall festival located in Gretna, Nebraska, open for 45 to 55 days a year. It is a cherished fall tradition for many families in the surrounding communities. The property spans over 400 acres and features more than 50 attractions, including pick-your-own pumpkins, apples, and flowers, along with over 25 food locations. Vala’s mission is to spread happiness by creating a place for magical memories shared between families and friends.

Requirements

Safely operating rides on the farm, including amusement rides such as Jan’s Carousel, Cousin’ Lauren’s Racin’ Pigs and Stefan’s Country drive and others.
Guest interaction is required.
Interest in amusement rides and guest service- no experience required

Responsibilities

Perform all safety checks prior to ride operation
Monitor guests and provide instructions during loading and unloading of rides
Monitor the moving ride, following all safety and operational procedures
Interacts with guests in a friendly manner at all times
Works well in a fast paced, team environment
Strong communication skills
Ability to make quick decisions in high pressure situations
Ability to work in variable weather conditions
Ability to stand, walk, lift, carry, bend, stoop, crouch, kneel, climb, twist, and reach for extended periods
Ability to move 25 lbs frequently, 25-50 lbs occasionally
