Macy's•Mclean, VA
•$16 - $20•Onsite

About The Position

As a Seasonal Retail Selling Colleague, you combine results-focused selling with genuine hospitality to create memorable holiday shopping experiences. You learn what customers need, offer personalized recommendations, and connect them with appropriate products and services on the sales floor or in the fitting room. You use product knowledge and customer engagement to achieve sales goals, build trust, and inspire loyalty. The role also involves keeping the shopping space clean, organized, and inviting; it goes beyond cashiering to emphasize customer service, teamwork, and selling. Colleagues prepare for the day by reviewing sales goals, learning about new arrivals, popular products, trends, and promotions, and helping ready the sales floor. Throughout the day, they engage customers in friendly, personal conversations; maintain a shoppable space by merchandising merchandise, processing damages and vendor returns, updating signs and pricing, and supporting merchandise moves; and share loyalty program benefits while ensuring customers have what they need. Colleagues support one another, work to improve, and contribute to individual and store results. Seasonal colleagues are typically scheduled for 10–20 hours per week, depending on business needs and colleague availability.
