A Seasonal Sales Associate is responsible for supporting the Team through peak business times for a temporary predetermined amount of time. They will support the store business with personal selling achievements and the store's day-to-day operations. The Filson brand is built on a reputation of excellent product quality, performance and associate knowledge, and this position serves to provide exceptional customer service and team empowerment.
Requirements
- Passionate about helping others, guest facing service mentality
- Experience in guest facing service preferred
- Has personal time management skills
- Strong communication, both written and verbal skills
- Dependable Team player
- Curious, friendly, outgoing, positive and optimistic
- Flexible and adaptable to a high-change environment
- Must be available the week and weekend of Thanksgiving and Christmas week leading into the New Year
- Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and extended hours as needed
- Confident, not afraid to insert yourself in new situations
- Interest in fashion, technical gear, and/or outdoor lifestyles
- Must be 18+ yrs old
- Able to stand for 8 hours
- Able to lift and carry 30 pounds, as needed
- Able to reach overhead, as needed
- Able to pull clothing and luggage from shelves
- Able to bend, kneel, or stoop
Responsibilities
- Ensure consistent Filson Way Guest Experience standards are met.
- Ensure Visual and Operational Standards are met.
- Greeting guests, answering phones, engaging guests daily.
- Gift Wrapping, as needed.
- Support the team during peak holiday months, November - January
- Achieve daily and weekly selling goals
- Occasionally support store events (in-store or offsite) outside of store posted operating hours, if needed
- Keeping all areas of the store clean, presentable, and stocked; perform duties related to opening and closing the store
- Processing shipments, packing orders and other operational requirements as needed, including refilling sizes and backstock
- Regularly and consistently abides by Time & Attendance policies and all policies and procedures included within.
- Regularly and consistently abides by the Standards of Conduct and Ethics, and all policies and procedures included within
- Availability to include either/and/or days, nights and weekends as needed for the business.
- Must be available to work during the weeks of Thanksgiving and Christmas
- Temporary position, could end on or before the seasonal holiday period end date depending on business needs, availability and/or labor hour needs.
- Other duties assigned as needed
