About The Position

Army Navy Country Club is a prestigious private, member-owned institution with a history dating back to 1924. Spanning 488 acres across two campuses located in Arlington and Fairfax, Virginia. As a server, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere for our members. Your responsibilities will include taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring that each guest's needs are met with attention to detail and care. Your commitment to excellence in service, along with your positive attitude and professionalism, will help ensure that every dining experience is memorable.

Requirements

At least High School diploma or GED equivalent
Experience preferred but not required
Ability to stand for long periods of time
Lift a minimum of 20lbs
Ability to work outside in various weather conditions, including but not limited to, wind, sun, heat and cold.
Ability to work during varied hours of the day and days of the week
Strong command of the English language
Tuesday-Friday 9am-11pm availability
Saturday-Sunday 7am-11pm availability
Available to work holidays

Responsibilities

Ensure that members have an enjoyable dining experience by providing quality customer service.
Work in front of the business taking orders, serving food and drinks, and removing dinnerware from the table in a timely manner.
Perform food and drink serving duties at breakfast, lunch, and dinner times as well as private functions and holidays.
Promote ANCC’s Five Star Service through interactions with guests in a positive, friendly, and efficient manner.
Provide excellent customer service.
Take orders.
Answer questions about the menu and provide recommendations.
Ensure proper set up and cleanup of stations.
Provide all members and guests with a high level of service with a smile.
Arrive to work on time ready to work.
Abide by all uniform & appearance standards and present themselves in a clean and professional manner.
Set tables in accordance with department service standards and perform all necessary and/or assigned side work.
Follow safe food handling practices.
Clear tables in accordance with department service standards.
Keep all tables, rooms and side stands clean/sanitary and clear of clutter.
Perform all necessary and/or assigned clean up and closing duties.
Perform any additional responsibilities as outlined by supervisors or management.
Adhere to all ANCC policies and expectations as addressed in the employee handbook.
