About The Position

Pet Paradise is seeking a Seasonal Resort Associate to care for pets at its Gainesville resort. Associates supervise and interact with pets indoors and in outdoor play yards, follow feeding instructions, keep suites and shared spaces clean, monitor and record pet information, report unusual behaviors or injuries, and follow safe dog-handling and security practices. The role involves substantial physical labor, including handling pets, walking, cleaning, and maintaining suites. Associates work flexibly to meet resort scheduling needs, including nights, weekends, holidays, and peak times.

Requirements

Have a true passion for working with animals.
Have a cheerful, friendly, positive, and team-oriented attitude.
Be comfortable around dogs of all sizes and physically able to lift up to 60 pounds.
Be flexible to meet resort scheduling needs, including days, nights, weekends, holidays, and peak times.
Be able to receive instructions and adapt to changes and training materials.
Be able to perform considerable physical labor, including pet handling, walking, cleaning, and suite maintenance.

Responsibilities

Supervise and interact with pets inside the resort and in outdoor play yards.
Follow instructions regarding pets’ feeding times, food amounts, and food types.
Clean and disinfect suites and dog runs, including washing floors, scrubbing walls, and removing animal waste.
Empty trash, mop floors, and clean restrooms, common areas, and the employee breakroom.
Monitor and record important information about pets and report unusual behaviors, injuries, or critical information to management and veterinary services when applicable.
Use proper dog-handling techniques as instructed by management.
Keep dogs secure and follow training policies to maintain pet safety.
