About The Position

Pet Paradise is seeking a Seasonal Resort Associate to provide attentive care for pets at its Georgetown resort. Associates supervise and interact with pets indoors and in outdoor play yards, follow feeding instructions, maintain clean suites and shared spaces, monitor and record pet information, and follow safe dog-handling procedures. The role involves substantial physical work, including handling pets, walking, cleaning, and suite maintenance. The position requires schedule flexibility, including nights, weekends, holidays, and peak periods.

Pet Paradise describes its resorts as safe, entertaining environments where team members provide pets with loving care and focused attention. Associates may pursue company training and career-development opportunities, including leadership, dog training, and grooming academies. The role is seasonal. The starting rate is $13.50 per hour, with a $0.50 increase six months after hire and another $0.50 increase on the annual anniversary date.

Requirements

• True passion for working with animals.
• Cheerful, friendly, positive, and team-oriented attitude.
• Comfort being around dogs of all sizes and physical ability to lift up to 60 pounds.
• Flexibility to meet resort scheduling needs, including days, nights, weekends, holidays, and peak times.
• Ability to receive instructions and adapt to change and training material.
• Ability to perform considerable physical labor, including pet handling, walking, cleaning, and suite maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and interact with pets inside the resort and in outdoor play yards.
• Follow directions regarding pets' feeding times, amounts, and food types.
• Clean and disinfect suites and dog runs, including washing floors, scrubbing walls, and removing animal waste.
• Empty trash; mop floors; and clean restrooms, common areas, and the employee breakroom.
• Monitor and record important information about pets, and report unusual behavior, injuries, or critical information to management and veterinary services when applicable.
• Use proper dog-handling techniques as instructed by management.
• Keep dogs secure and maintain pet safety by following training policies.
