About The Position

The Rental Crew is RMP’s heart and soul. You are the primary point of contact for our guests and wield the most influence over their experience with us. Requirements

• Must be able to work at least two full shifts per week (shifts are typically 8-10 hours).
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must possess a valid CPR/First Aid certification before you begin work.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all RMP and Reservoir safety protocols are followed without exception.
• Fit every guest with a life jacket (PFD), clearly convey paddling and safety protocols to groups of up to 20 people, and participate in ongoing safety training.
• Greet every guest with genuine enthusiasm and set the tone for an unforgettable adventure.
• Manage boards, kayaks, reservations, and timing—all while keeping the energy positive and seamless.
• Handle the daily setup and breakdown of the location, ensuring every board, paddle, and PFD is clean, organized, and guest-ready.
• Operate our reservations and point-of-sale system using a tablet, all while managing the "moving parts" of a busy rental hub.
• Anticipate problems and create solutions.
• Operate with patience, inclusion, and genuine care in every interaction.
• Guide nervous first-timers, welcome guests of all abilities and backgrounds, and treat every person who walks up to the rental counter like an old friend.
• Inspire guests to respect the natural environment they are about to enjoy.
• Actively participate in keeping our shoreline and waterways clean and healthy, role modeling responsible practices for our guests and community.
