Requirements

Strong communication and interpersonal skills; enjoys engaging with children and adults.
Comfortable presenting to small groups.
Self-starter with excellent organizational skills and time management.
Must have access to reliable transportation.
Availability to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends.
Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds (e.g., recruitment materials, display items).
Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
All Employees of Girl Scouts must maintain an active, annual membership in Girl Scouts of Western New York. This membership must be renewed annually, and all newly hired employees are expected to enroll with GSWNY within the first 30 days of their employment.

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with the community is a plus.

Responsibilities

Coordinate and attend school-based and community recruitment events.
Deliver engaging presentations and facilitate activities that promote Girl Scout membership.
Represent GSWNY at tabling events, open houses, and festivals.
Build and strengthen partnerships with local schools, parent organizations, and community leaders.
Support new families with the registration process and connect them to local troops or opportunities.
Track leads and event participation using GSWNY’s CRM system.
Follow up with families to guide them through the membership journey.
Assist with assembling and distributing recruitment materials.
Support the Council’s strategic goals, mission, and ongoing commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging as an active and engaged member of the GSWNY staff team and community.
