Seasonal Ranch Hand
About The Position
Seasonal ranch hands support forest and pasture management, fence building and planning, trail construction, and maintenance. Most live in-cabin with campers and other counselors, helping set the tone for studying and applying Christian Science at camp and supporting bunkhouse life. Most also assist with non-program activities, such as evening programs. Professionals in related fields are not required to live in-cabin with campers. The posting also describes a Corral Technician role. Corral technicians are supervised by the horsemanship director and the wrangler ranch hand. They support and implement irrigation and pasture management, repair and build fences, participate in managing a multiple-horse herd, and support wilderness trips, among other duties.
Requirements
- Demonstrated commitment to Christian Science.
- At least 18 years old and a high school graduate or equivalent at the time of employment.
- Willingness to uphold high moral and ethical standards.
- Enthusiasm for working with young people with love, patience, and consistency.
- Ability to flexibly support a variety of areas as needs arise.
- Ability to participate in outdoor adventure and recreational activities.
- Ability to live in a cabin with campers and other staff.
