About The Position

Gateway Fellowship is seeking a reliable and hardworking individual to join our team as a Seasonal Facilities Worker. This role plays a key part in maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and functionality of our facilities and grounds during our busy season. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on problem solver with a strong work ethic and a willingness to assist wherever needed. As a member of the Gateway OneTeam, you will support and demonstrate an understanding of the church’s mission: Presenting Hope and Developing People. Key qualifications include possessing a character that reflects biblical godliness and demonstrates a meaningful, personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

Requirements

Previous experience in facilities, landscaping, or general maintenance preferred.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical labor for extended periods.
Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
Team-oriented with a flexible, can-do attitude.
Must be at least 16 years old and possess a valid driver’s license (if driving is required).

Responsibilities

Perform general landscaping duties, including mowing, trimming, raking, watering, and seasonal planting.
Assist with basic repair work such as patching, painting, assembling furniture, and light carpentry.
Support the setup and breakdown of indoor and outdoor events as needed.
Move, load, and store equipment, furniture, and other materials safely and efficiently.
Maintain cleanliness and order in workspaces, storage areas, and grounds.
Perform routine inspections and report any facilities or safety concerns.
Assist with seasonal preparations, including snow removal or weatherproofing (if applicable).
