About The Position
Step into a hands-on role with the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources as a Seasonal Park Maintenance Worker. This position gives you the opportunity to work in a scenic setting while contributing to important upkeep projects. In this position, you will support the daily upkeep and improvement of park facilities and grounds through semi-skilled maintenance and construction work. The work you will do involves a variety of tasks that help keep the park safe, clean, and functional for public use.
Requirements
- One year of experience in laboring work including the use of tools and equipment used in maintenance or construction; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.
- Meet the PA residency requirement (currently waived for this title).
- Be able to perform essential job functions.
- Submission of criminal history reports will be required for a conditional offer of employment.
Responsibilities
- Perform repairs on park buildings and facilities using basic carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and related tools
- Maintain park grounds by mowing grass, trimming branches, removing snow, and cleaning public areas
- Operate park vehicles and equipment such as mowers, chain saws, chippers, and snow removal tools
- Provide helpful information to park visitors and support a friendly, safe park environment
- Complete required forms such as daily records, mileage logs, fuel sheets, and leave slips
- Clean, supply, and perform minor repairs in restrooms, cabins, offices, and other buildings
