About The Position

The purpose of the packing position is to complete quality checks of product and pack and seal finished product for shipment. This is a full-time position with a 2nd shift schedule (4 PM - 2 AM). The schedule is subject to change, and mandatory or voluntary overtime may be required to meet business needs. Some travel between warehouses/buildings may be required.

Requirements

• Must be able to accurately count and perform basic math functions such as addition, and subtraction.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to operate basic equipment such as a date stamper, and taper machine.
• Must be able to complete necessary paperwork accurately.
• Must apply food safety and employee safety guidelines in all performance measures.
• Regularly required to talk or hear.
• Frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to fingers; handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
• Frequently lift objects up to 10 pounds.
• Use gripping, pinching, grasping, and pulling motions.
• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• High School diploma or equivalent desired but not required.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing setting is ideal.
• Previous experience training new employees is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Complete quality checks of product.
• Pack and seal finished product for shipment.
• Label boxes.
• Count packages while boxing for shipment.
• Perform quality checks of product and packaging.
• Complete paperwork which requires attention to detail.
• Work on an assembly line and keep pace with the team to minimize stoppage.
• Perform basic housekeeping/sanitation duties during slow times.
• Assist in the training of new employees.
