About The Position

This is a short-term seasonal opportunity supervising daily and weekly operations within an assigned area during peak season. The supervisor leads, motivates, and develops associates while ensuring customer and site requirements are met. The role supports continuous improvement and a positive work culture by upholding company policies. Requirements

Operations background.
0–3 years of experience in a lead, supervisor, or management role.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
1–2 years of logistics industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Direct daily activities to ensure a safe, secure, clean, and fair work environment for associates.
Ensure associates have access to the tools needed for their duties and that tools are routinely inspected and maintained.
Lead efforts to improve productivity, prioritizing effective process improvements and then associate-work efficiency.
Collaborate with regional sites on safety, labor sharing, and best-practice initiatives.
Plan, manage, and adjust daily workload and staffing to minimize unplanned overtime.
Ensure shift, daily, and weekly workload planning and volume-forecasting routines are completed, including staffing, equipment, and space planning.
Communicate, apply, and enforce company policies, including safety, accounting, operational, regulatory, and administrative policies.
Maximize quality and productivity by understanding job standards, evaluating performance variances, identifying root causes, and taking corrective action.
Communicate work-task Standard Operating Procedures, share key information during preshift meetings, and ensure appropriate shift handoffs.
Maintain a professional environment with external customers and vendors, including drivers, dispatchers, and customer representatives.
Execute daily customer and vendor contract requirements, identify accessorial activity outside commercial contracts, and ensure required documentation.
Ensure inventory integrity through timely and accurate receiving, picking, shipping, and inventory management.
Participate in collecting performance measurements consistent with customer, vendor, and site requirements.
