About The Position

This position is for a Seasonal Operations Associate at the Washington Sq location. The role focuses on creating an outstanding customer experience by performing operations functions within the store, primarily during early morning hours before store opening. As a seasonal hire, there is a defined employment period, with potential for extension or a regular position based on performance and availability. The job involves working with merchandise, replenishing stock, receiving and unloading shipments, maintaining backroom standards, and potentially fulfilling online orders. It also requires executing merchandise strategies according to leadership plans and participating in a learning environment to gain knowledge about merchandise and business processes.

Responsibilities

  • Customer Service: Assisting customers with questions or requests while working at a fast pace.
  • Executes pricing and signing: Changing ticket prices and signing on merchandise across the store.
  • Replenish and restock the store: Pulling and preparing merchandise to ensure availability of styles and sizes on the sales floor.
  • Receive and unload merchandise: Working with coworkers to unload trucks and prepare merchandise in the backroom.
  • Backroom standards: Keeping the stockroom safe, clean, and organized.
  • On-line jcp.com pick up: Finding and fulfilling orders placed online.
  • Merchandise strategy: Executing plans for merchandise placement according to leadership directives and merchandising standards to ensure an outstanding customer experience.
  • Participates in a learning environment: Absorbing new information on merchandise or business processes from peers or training materials.
