About The Position

The Seasonal Merchandise Associate delivers a highly satisfied customer experience by engaging with customers, following customer experience principles, and maintaining a clean, organized store. The associate follows operational, merchandise, and loss-prevention standards and may be cross-trained in multiple store areas to meet business needs. Responsibilities also include processing customer transactions and merchandise, supporting merchandising and store recovery, promoting credit and loyalty programs, and contributing to a safe store environment and shrink-reduction efforts.

Responsibilities

• Engage and interact with customers while providing a highly satisfied customer experience.
• Role-model customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
• Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
• Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and provide correct change according to operating procedures.
• Promote credit and loyalty programs.
• Follow the merchandising philosophy and established merchandising procedures and standards.
• Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
• Initiate and participate in store recovery as needed throughout the day.
• Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards on the sales floor and help maintain the entire store.
• Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
• Adhere to labor laws, policies, and procedures.
• Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
• Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
