About The Position

The Seasonal Merchandise Associate is responsible for delivering a highly satisfying customer experience by engaging with customers and embodying the company’s customer experience principles. The role also helps maintain a clean, organized, and safe store environment and follows operational, merchandising, and loss-prevention standards. Associates may be cross-trained in multiple store areas to support business needs.

The position includes customer service, checkout, merchandise processing and presentation, store recovery, and participation in store safety and shrink-reduction efforts. Associates support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, respect, and constructive feedback.

Responsibilities

• Model established customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
• Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
• Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and provide correct change according to operating procedures.
• Promote credit and loyalty programs.
• Follow the merchandising philosophy and established merchandising procedures and standards.
• Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor accurately and according to company procedures and standards.
• Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
• Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards on the sales floor and help maintain cleanliness throughout the store.
• Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
• Adhere to labor laws, policies, and procedures.
• Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
• Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
