About The Position

The Seasonal Merchandise Associate is responsible for delivering a highly satisfying customer experience by engaging and interacting with customers, following customer experience principles, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment. The associate follows operational, merchandise, and loss-prevention standards and may be cross-trained in multiple store areas to support business needs.

The role supports positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect; accurately handles purchases, returns, and change; promotes credit and loyalty programs; and follows merchandising and merchandise-processing procedures. The associate participates in store recovery, cleanliness, safety awareness, and shrink-reduction efforts, follows labor laws and company policies, and provides and accepts recognition and constructive feedback. Other duties may be assigned.

This position is at the Marshalls store in Eagle Pass, Texas. The starting pay range is USD $13.00 to $13.50 per hour; actual starting pay depends on relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a highly satisfying customer experience by engaging and interacting with customers and embodying customer experience principles.
• Model customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
• Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
• Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and count change according to operating procedures.
• Promote credit and loyalty programs.
• Maintain and uphold the merchandising philosophy and follow established merchandising procedures and standards.
• Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
• Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
• Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards on the sales floor and help maintain and clean the entire store.
• Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
• Adhere to labor laws, policies, and procedures.
• Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
• Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Work in multiple store areas when cross-trained to support business needs.
